Many sites expose jobs, news, or listings as a feed. New items in feed → parse title, link, summary → create a row in Google Sheets, a lead in CRM, or a Slack message. No scraper required when the feed is complete enough.
A scheduled script or hosted API POSTs JSON to Catch Hook (Webhooks by Zapier); Zap maps fields into your stack. Extract elsewhere, deliver here.
New rows in a Sheet (from a manual export or a connected tool) trigger Zaps to sync into a database, issue invoices, or notify a channel. Useful when humans QA data before it enters production tables.
Some sites only notify by email (price alerts, listing updates). New email triggers with filters → extract fields (subject/body) → push to your stack. Fragile if formatting changes, but fast to prototype.
URL monitors (email, RSS, or webhook when a page changes). Zap reacts to the notification — the diff happens outside Zapier.
Scheduled exports land as .csv / .json in Drive, Dropbox, or Box; new file triggers downstream steps when payloads are too big for a single webhook.
Scraper writes to Airtable or Notion; new record (often via a filtered view) pushes to CRM or tasks — handy for QA before production systems.
Typical flow: a trigger proves there is something new → Formatter or Code step shapes fields → create/update in the destination app. Hard extraction stays in Python or a vendor API; Zapier handles handoff. Excel-oriented field lists: website scraping.
Logins, heavy JavaScript, CAPTCHAs, or anti-bot flows need a scraper first; Zapier wires the output. Automation and web scraping services are often scoped together.
